Welcome to the new Official J Class webpage! This page was originally intended for the purpose of providing the information for the Class National Championship Regatta held in San Antonio, Texas in October of 2007 but due to the ongoing activity and growth within the class the need was felt for an up to date page that could provide more information and current news to the skippers and those interested in the class.
The NCR for 2008 in Mystic River CT is coming up FAST in August so make your plans now to attend ! ! I have never been there but all who have will tell you that it is one of the finest venues available to model sailing. This event will also coincide with the Star 45 Class NCR and it will all encompass a 4 day event, which I assume to be 2 days for each class. Sailing will be apprx. 4 hours each day. This event will follow the EC-12 Region 1, and Wheeler Region 1 regattas.
This promises to be the LARGEST J Class event in HISTORY ! with the previous record of 14 boats sure to fall... it's only a question of by how much. 20+ boats are expected.
Do you wish to attend the J Class NCR but cannot travel with your boat??? Alan Kew has FOUR BOATS AVAILABLE TO BE CHARTERED FOR THE EVENT ! This incredibly generous offer of his personal boats is being made for any skippers that wish to attend but are limited by their model.
