J Class Plans and Drawings
The NEW "Decking Video" is now available ! This is a 50 minute complete walk-through of how to install a beautiful wood plank deck on an existing hull. John Hanks and Bob Eger take you through the complete process as they install the deck on Bob's new Endeavour. They show you step by step how to put a wonderful wooden deck on your boat. Contact the webmaster for your copy. A $10.00 donation to the class is asked to help cover the cost of copying and shipping. It is not difficult, does not impede race performance, and gives your boat a degree of elegance that model sailboats should have.
FULL SIZE RANGER HULL Plans are available from John Hanks. This is for the HULL ONLY. These were made from the original Ranger plans themselves and consequently do not include the 2" keel extension. Since this was not on the original boat, no plans for this exist and it is up to the individual builder to fair in the extension. Also, there are no written instructions at this time. This is for the PLAN SHEET and includes shipping: price: $55.00 Contact John Hanks John4JBoats@NPGCable.com
Milton Thrasher offers to make just about any boat you would want to build almost appear out of thin air. Ask him for laser cut frames, parts or ribs for almost any boat in any scale and he will make them happen.
This obviously speeds up construction time and makes increased detail that much more available to give your model a more scale appearance.
Contact Milton for a quote on the parts you need, ribs, deckhouses, whatever it takes:
